Jennifer Rackley is an intellectual property attorney at Quadros, Migl & Kilmer, where she focuses her practice on helping businesses protect and grow their brands through strategic trademark and copyright solutions. Known for her thoughtful approach and client-focused mindset, Jennifer combines technical precision with creativity to guide clients through the ever-evolving landscape of intellectual property law.
Background & Approach
Jennifer grew up in a household that blended analytical thinking with creativity. Her father, an electrical engineer, instilled in her a strong attention to detail, while her mother, a marketing director, inspired her natural ability to connect with people. Today, Jennifer brings both of those strengths into her practice—offering nuanced legal analysis alongside a highly collaborative, client-centered experience.
She discovered her passion for intellectual property law during law school while working as an intern at a boutique IP firm. That experience shaped her career path and led her to further develop her skills as a student attorney in her law school’s Trademark Clinic, where she spent three semesters gaining hands-on experience in trademark prosecution.
Jennifer is particularly drawn to the dynamic nature of intellectual property law. As businesses evolve, so do the challenges surrounding brand protection—and she thrives on staying ahead of those changes and crafting creative, strategic solutions tailored to each client.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Quadros, Migl & Kilmer, Jennifer served as a Senior Attorney with LegalZoom Legal Services for more than five years. There, she was part of a forward-thinking legal team at the forefront of legal technology innovation, working to make high-quality legal services more accessible.
Her practice at LegalZoom was focused on trademark prosecution in a high-volume environment, where she handled more than 500 trademark applications per year. Over the course of her tenure, she assisted more than 2,000 clients, representing a diverse range of industries including fashion, technology, medical devices, insurance, and real estate.
As one of six Senior Attorneys for nearly half of her time there, Jennifer also played a leadership role within the organization. She developed and led in-house CLE presentations, mentored junior attorneys, and collaborated closely with staff attorneys on drafting and strategy. Her experience navigating USPTO trends, refusals, and strategic responses gives her clients a significant advantage in successfully securing trademark registrations.
